Do you see that kid eating a gingerbread West Virginia? His name is Cameron, and the idea to create each U.S. State out of food and rename them accordingly was his idea.
It began innocently enough when Cam suggested to his father Chris, who writes for Foodiggity.com, “Dad… What if you made States, but like, they were made of food, like?” Chris's response was something along the lines of, “That’s been done to death already, son… Go to bed.”
Then Cam added, “But what if they like had funny names like New Pork or New Jerky, like?” It was at that moment Chris realized that the kid was on to something.
So, with help from his dad to name and create them, The Foodnited States was born, and the original photo series became a hit on Instagram.
After much request from fans to do so, the States are now available on posters, fridge magnets, stickers, and Foodnited States T-shirts. Have a look around our shop, and let us know how we're doing.
And, yes, this is all going to the kid's head.
